Ana Magalhães is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Portugal. Graduated in Visual Arts from Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Caldas da Rainha, she has developed a poetic and emotional visual language that reflects her passion for storytelling, imagination, and the intersections between the real and the surreal.

Her illustration and painting work is deeply inspired by the delicate balance between nature and geometry, the mystical and the emotional, and the infinite worlds that exist within the human heart and mind. Through her dreamlike characters and surreal environments, Ana explores themes such as transformation, emotional depth, and connection - with the self, others, and the cosmos.

 

Ana’s illustrations often blend intricate details with soft, organic forms, creating enchanting scenes where tenderness, mystery and symbolism coexist. Her creative process merges traditional techniques with digital tools, often expanding into sound, animation, and installation. These are stories lived and felt, resonating with a childlike wonder and a profound lyrical tone.

 

Under the name Wumi Studio, her work embraces the magic of emotional storytelling. Her illustrations carry a sense of serene adventure - a space where lightness meets complexity, and where each image becomes an invitation to rediscover beauty and sensitivity.

 

Throughout her artistic journey, Ana continues to expand her creative universe by blending drawing and painting with other forms of artistic expression, always in search of new ways to awaken the senses and the soul.
